Description
Microsoft Visio 2024 Professional is Microsoft’s diagramming software, version 2024, for one Windows PC: organisation charts, plans, technical diagrams and process diagrams, built from ready-made templates and shapes. It is a one-time purchase with no subscription.
It is used to show an organisation, a plan or a process in a clear and structured way.
“Lifetime · Activation key” option: you receive by e-mail an activation key for one Windows PC, together with the download link. After installation, open Visio, then File > Account, and enter the key; activation then takes place online.
Visio can be installed on the same PC as a Microsoft 365 subscription. Microsoft supports this under three conditions: Microsoft 365 apps at version 2408 or later, the same architecture (32-bit or 64-bit) for both products, and the same update channel. When these conditions are met, you do not need to uninstall Microsoft 365.
System requirements according to Microsoft: Windows 11, dual-core processor, 4 GB of memory, 4 GB of disk space and a 1280 × 768 display. Microsoft has not supported Windows 10 since 14 October 2025. Visio cannot be installed on a Mac. It is part of neither Office 2024 nor Microsoft 365 Personal or Family, and it receives no new features: Microsoft supports it until October 2029.
Installation and activation
This guide installs Visio 2024 Professional with our download link, then activates it with your key.
Back up your files (important)
A lifetime licence for one Windows PC. Before you uninstall Microsoft 365, back up your Office documents to avoid losing anything.
Uninstall Microsoft 365 (required)
Open Control Panel → Programs and Features and uninstall Microsoft 365 if it is on your PC. Microsoft 365 versions often block the installation of Visio 2024.
Once Visio 2024 is installed and activated, you can reinstall Microsoft 365 if you need it (step 5).
Activate Visio 2024
- Open Microsoft Visio.
- Go to File → Account.
- Click Change Product Key.
- Enter the key you received.
- Close Visio, then reopen it.
- Click Activate online.
In most cases, online activation works immediately.
