Description
SOLIDWORKS is 3D design (CAD) software for Windows. This page offers two options: SOLIDWORKS Standard 2024 for 12 months, and the SOLIDWORKS Premium 2025 update for 9 months.
- Standard 2024 · 12 months: 3D modelling, assemblies and 2D drawings, for one device.
- Premium 2025 (update) · 9 months: simulation, Flow, Electrical, CAM and Visualize, for one device. This option requires an existing SOLIDWORKS version.
It suits anyone who designs parts and assemblies and produces manufacturing drawings from them.
Both options require 64-bit Windows 10 or 11; Microsoft has not supported Windows 10 since 14 October 2025. Delivery is electronic after payment, and access ends when the chosen period is over.
Installation and activation
This guide prepares SOLIDWORKS Standard 2024 for 12 months or the Premium 2025 update for 9 months. The details needed for installation and activation arrive with your order.
Check your ordered option
Read the option name in your order:
- Standard 2024 · 12 months: prepare version 2024.
- Premium 2025 (update) · 9 months: an existing SOLIDWORKS version is required. Back up your projects before updating.
Check your PC
Check that your PC runs 64-bit Windows. Consult the SOLIDWORKS system requirements for your version, graphics card and driver. If your version is no longer listed, ask us for its requirements before continuing.
Open the official access page
On SOLIDWORKS Downloads, select Access Downloads. Sign-in uses a 3DEXPERIENCE ID. Use the account associated with the access specified in your order. Signing in alone does not grant download rights.
Choose the matching year
If your access offers downloads, select 2024 for Standard or 2025 for the Premium update. Choose the service pack specified in your order, accept the agreement and download the offered files. You obtain the installation media for that version.
Follow your order instructions
Open the electronic instructions for your order. Check that they specify the version and activation method before starting installation or an update. If they require a serial number or server you have not been given, contact us before proceeding.

If the expected year or download access is missing, tell us which option you ordered.
